Global Solutions Ventures (GSV), a joint-venture between ZemiTek, LLC and Dexis Consulting Group, is implementing the Long-term Exceptional Technical Assistance Project (LEAP Global), originally used by USAID to combat infectious diseases such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, neglected tropical diseases, and pandemic influenza. As of July 1, 2025, LEAP Global transitioned to the U.S. Department of State (DOS). This initiative aims to address human resource challenges faced by national infectious disease programs in countries supported by the USG. The project involves hiring and embedding technical expert advisors within government entities to provide sustainable, long-term support, empowering host governments to lead their infectious disease portfolios and improve coordination with the US Government. Work schedule: Full-time Host Organization: National TB Program Location: Lusaka, Zambia This individual will be hired under the CCN/TCN - Local Compensation Plan (LCP). Responsibilities
Support the NTP in delivering life-saving humanitarian assistance and TB services, including active case finding, diagnostics, treatment, and prevention. Provide technical support and engage in field work to implement programmatic and clinical interventions at national and sub-national levels. Monitor TB program implementation and recommend improvements. Review performance reports submitted to the Global Fund and other partners. Facilitate discussions among the GF, NTP, and partners to align technical approaches. Assist NTP management in identifying performance gaps and barriers, and facilitate consensus on interventions. Support the expansion of best practices in TB service delivery nationwide. Promote dissemination of effective models and interventions to minimize TB transmission. Support the adoption of rapid diagnostics and drug susceptibility testing, including NGS. Align Performance Based Monitoring and Evaluation Framework (PBMEF) in operational settings. Assist in scaling up effective TB treatment models, including preventive treatment. Support effective utilization of GF grants and other resources, including grant development and review. Coordinate with stakeholders on technical assistance needs and monitor grant implementation. Conduct regular communications with NTP, partners, and US Embassy, including conference calls and reports. The Senior Advisor will provide monthly and weekly reports to the U.S. Department of State and participate in weekly calls, highlighting main successes. Qualifications
Medical Degree, with a Masters of Public Health, Advanced Sciences in Community Health (preferred), or Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies. Over 20 years of experience in infectious disease control, especially TB and HIV, with extensive experience in designing and managing public health programs, preferably in Africa. Proven leadership in managing teams and successful project implementation. Experience with USG-funded programs, donor coordination, and understanding USG regulations preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written, with tact and diplomacy. Excellent computer skills in MS Office and related software. What We Believe
