Overview HDR is seeking a highly motivated individual to partner with our Transportation Business Group Strategic Pursuit Leaders. Your primary responsibilities will be to support highly visible, complex and game changing opportunities by producing winning, professional, competitive proposals.

Responsibilities

Proposal Management & Coordination : Foster a self-directed, accountable team culture by delivering high-quality, review- and client-ready materials; lead the full proposal lifecycle from kickoff through final production and interview; develop and manage pursuit organization tools (schedules, compliance matrices, templates, dashboards); capture meeting notes and action items and translate key themes into a focused capture plan; review RFPs to create clear compliance matrices; coordinate input from internal teams and external subconsultants; track progress and deadlines; support content development with early drafts and notes; proactively communicate workload needs.

Content Development & Quality : Write, edit, and format non-technical proposal content; work with experts to write and visualize technical approaches; develop qualifications, bios, data, forms, and terms; create storyboarding, benefit statements, message development, project profiles; tailor content to project background; ensure consistency with brand voice and grammar; translate risks/issues into PSOE table and collaborate with designers for visuals; identify gaps and address them.

Visual & Layout Skills : Format documents with reader-friendly graphics; coordinate with graphic designers and marketing resources; collaborate with technical leads to develop draft presentations and visuals; provide clear direction and timely communication; develop materials such as interactive presentations and leave-behinds.

Quality Control & Compliance Checks : Create schedules for content and graphics reviews; monitor proposal progress to meet internal deadlines and quality standards; ensure materials meet RFP requirements; perform or request technical editing and compliance reviews; strive to continuously improve processes.

Pre-positioning, Collateral & Material Management : Research project background and keep data organized; gather and refine resumes, project information, and visuals; develop communications materials to support differentiators; coordinate with leadership on marketplace research; work with marketing to promote sector qualifications and collateral.

Continuous Process Improvements : Utilize and teach AI tools and other software to improve efficiency and quality; monitor against best practices; participate in debriefs; act as a subject matter expert and follow HDR procedures and file management practices.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.

Demonstrated self-starter with a track record of completing projects with limited oversight.

Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign.
