Overview
Marketing Specialist-Limited Appointment at UC Santa Barbara. This role provides a broad range of administrative, marketing and event functions in support of Arts & Lectures (A&L). The position contributes to multi-channel marketing strategies to drive awareness and ticket sales for performances, films, lectures and events. Responsibilities
Administrative Support & Event Promotion - 40%
Maintain schedules and calendars for marketing projects and initiatives. Assist in compiling and analyzing marketing and ticketing performance data. Support the compilation and formatting of marketing and program materials, ensuring brand consistency and contractual compliance. Manage program advertising, invoicing, and expenses. Organize physical and digital marketing archives. Coordinate distribution of promotional materials and assist with partnerships and group sales. Provide general administrative support and help maintain the marketing area. Digital Marketing & Communications - 30%
Develop and distribute email campaigns and newsletters. Manage day-to-day website updates ensuring ADA compliance and brand alignment. Collaborate with the marketing team and track digital engagement metrics for performance reporting. Content Creation, Graphic Design & Video Editing - 30%
Write and proofread copy for print and digital materials. Create and schedule social media content, graphics and videos. Ensure brand consistency and assist in designing promotional materials and editing video assets. Attend performances to capture media and support audience feedback collection. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; 1-3 years marketing analysis and data compilation; 1-3 years administrative support; 1-3 years general marketing, graphic design, content creation, logistical planning and website management. Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years professional experience in event promotion; knowledge of or experience in some area of performing arts; ability to work nights and weekends. Special Conditions of Employment
