Overview

Education Specialist 2 and Front Desk Coordinator at the UCSF Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS). The role is full-time, on-site in San Francisco, Mount Zion, and supports health professions education programs while performing front desk coordination activities. Responsibilities

Design, conduct, promote, evaluate and support health professions education programs in compliance with organizational objectives and nationally accepted accreditation standards. Support learners (including faculty, residents, clinical fellows, graduate or undergraduate learners, practicing or licensed professionals) in areas such as curriculum, teaching and learning activities, scheduling, core competencies, assessment and evaluations. Coordinate all activities associated with ongoing administration of health professions education programs. Coordinate program operations, including teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, maintaining databases, tracking learner compliance, and program accreditation. Provide administrative and analytical support to the UCSF Otolaryngology Education Office. Responsibilities include support to residency and fellowship programs, coordination of departmental events, coordination of medical student rotations, and coordination of courses in the department’s dissection classroom; assist in planning educational offerings by divisions within the department. Handle front desk reception activities: greet and triage patients and visitors, manage front desk administrative functions, schedule faculty meetings, and schedule meeting rooms. Job Details

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training Minimum of 1+ years of related experience Skills to learn organization-specific and other computer application programs Basic communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns Basic program and project management skills Proficiency with business software systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent written and verbal communication Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability Ability to manage complex schedules and meeting requests Preferred Qualifications
