University of California, San Francisco Job Summary Health Professions Education Analyst. Involves supporting or performing the Fellowship and administrative services in Dermatologic Surgery. Applies acquired skills, process, and policy knowledge to support professional health education program learners in Dermatologic Surgery. Coordinates program operations, including teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, maintaining databases, tracking learner compliance, and program accreditation. Coordinates implementation of professional health educational activities, which may include program competencies, curriculum, and exams. Serves as the fellowship coordinator and core administrative member of the Dermatology Surgery and Laser Center division, coordinating three Derm Surgery Fellows per year and short-term rotators. Administrative services include coordination of communications and pertinent data among Dermatology Surgeons and the Director of Derm Surgery. Performs and/or oversees special projects requiring independence and initiative. Handles confidential matters to support the Derm Surgery Faculty. The department provides patient care, teaching, research and public service. The University is located at multiple sites and consists of faculty, researchers, staff, residents and fellows. The incumbent will work as the fellowship coordinator and core administrative member of the division. Responsibilities
Support or perform Fellowship and administrative services in Dermatologic Surgery Coordinate program operations: teaching/learning activities, curriculum, learner scheduling, databases, learner compliance, and accreditation Coordinate implementation of professional health educational activities: competencies, curriculum, and exams Act as Dermatology Fellowship Coordinator for three fellows per year and coordinate short-term rotators Provide administrative services: communications, data coordination among faculty and Director of Derm Surgery Lead or oversee special projects requiring high independence and initiative; handle confidential matters Prepare presentations, reports, and conduct data entry; strong computer, internet research, and analytical skills Engage with management, faculty, staff, learners, and external stakeholders with professionalism and sensitivity Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training 2-5 years of related experience in an educational setting Basic knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements; basic knowledge of health professions education Knowledge of educational technology and systems; ability to troubleshoot technology issues Investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills; ability to generate, check, correct, and submit accurate reports; data entry and analysis in electronic systems Administrative analysis and operations research; ability to develop and implement processes and systems; familiarity with program operations Communication skills: verbal, written, active listening; service-oriented and responsive Interpersonal skills; ability to build working relationships within department and with learners Excellent organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail; able to manage complex faculty calendars MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Proficiency with common organization-specific and other computer applications Political acumen and sensitivity to diverse perspectives within the organization Strong service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, alumni/donors, students, and external parties Preferred Qualifications
