Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join the Americas Talent Management Team as Senior Talent Management Lead for our Finance, Risk and Restructuring (FRR) practice. The FRR practice is a dynamic team of 60+ Partners and more than 100 Consultants and Specialists. The Senior TM Lead serves as a business partner and trusted advisor to unit leadership, aligning talent strategies with business objectives. They will manage 1-2 junior talent managers, delegate duties, and collaborate with the Americas TM team to deliver talent management solutions across the region.
This hybrid role requires 3 days per week in our Midtown NYC office. There is no option to be fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Leadership for FRR: Serve as the primary point of contact for leadership on all aspects of Talent Management; develop partnerships with Learning & Development, Recruiting, and Human Capital Operations to ensure seamless talent processes aligned with business objectives.
Take a strategic view of talent management needs within the FRR practice; proactively identify systemic issues and trends and anticipate mid- to long-term challenges.
Collaborate with practice leadership to articulate the talent agenda for FRR and drive strategic conversations using data and insights to inform discussions and propose solutions.
Engage in practice, leadership, and partner meetings, leading discussions on talent management topics, trends and solutions.
Talent Management
Build relationships with consultants and specialists to understand capabilities, goals, interests, and situations; manage individuals’ careers and development with awareness of development paths.
Provide career guidance and support mentorship/career advisory relationships; monitor work-life quality and well-being and escalate issues when needed.
Partner with stakeholders on pyramid and capacity planning, performance management, and staffing processes; analyze trends and metrics to inform solutions; identify training needs in collaboration with L&D.
Project Staffing and Capacity Management
Oversee staffing for projects within FRR, ensuring alignment with business goals and proactive issue handling.
Balance business needs with consultant development goals; anticipate capacity challenges and develop solutions with regional context; prepare and run regular leadership meetings.
Track mobility, holidays, trainings, and background checks as part of staffing enablement.
Performance Management
Understand the competency model and facilitate discussions on improving consultants' toolkits; foster proactive performance management with timely feedback and follow-up.
Coordinate Career Review meetings and address performance issues with appropriate coaching; support employee relations and wellbeing in difficult situations.
Reporting
Review utilization, staffing, and related reports; ensure data analytics inform talent strategies and decision-making; maintain data in resource planning systems and assist in preparing presentations for senior leadership.
Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree and 7-10+ years of professional experience in a dynamic client services environment, ideally in management consulting and/or talent management; capable of immediate impact and long-term growth.
Experience in people management, including direct oversight of at least one team member.
Ability to balance changing work demands with multiple stakeholders; proven ability to foster relationships at all levels of the organization.
Comfort with data analysis (Excel, PowerPoint, ERP software); financial services experience a plus.
Skills and Attributes

Strong analytical skills to use data for driving change and informing talent strategy.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills; professional and credible interaction with partners and consultants from diverse backgrounds.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $121,000 to $168,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. We offer a competitive total rewards package including health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K and other retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
