Senior Director of Sourcing
to establish and lead a new strategic function dedicated to generics sourcing across the U.S. Position Summary
The Senior Director will be responsible for
building out a brand-new sourcing function
focused on securing and managing the supply of generic medicines into key U.S. infrastructure hubs. This includes designing and implementing sourcing strategies, establishing supplier networks, creating operational and compliance frameworks, and ensuring reliable supply chain performance. Over time, this leader will also be responsible for building and scaling a dedicated sourcing team to support growth. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for generic medicines across the U.S. Establish and manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Design and implement operational and supply chain frameworks to support efficient, compliant sourcing. Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, operations, and commercial teams to align sourcing activities with business goals. Build and lead a sourcing team, including hiring, mentoring, and developing talent. Ensure cost-effective, reliable, and timely supply of generics to meet client and organizational needs. Monitor market trends and proactively identify risks and opportunities within the generics supply chain. Support long-term strategic growth initiatives related to sourcing and supply chain. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 12+ years of progressive experience in
pharmaceutical sourcing, procurement, or supply chain , with strong exposure to generics. Proven track record of establishing and scaling sourcing functions in a pharma/CDMO environment. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, cGMP requirements, and compliance frameworks. Demonstrated ability to build supplier networks and negotiate complex contracts. Excellent leadership skills, with experience building and managing high-performing teams. Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
