AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including government data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access to innovation for customers. You will join a diverse team of design engineers and industrial security experts and collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing scalable capacity at low cost. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen. Upon application you will be asked qualifying questions to determine your qualifications for this role. Locations (available for this role): Seattle, Washington Herndon, Virginia Columbus, Ohio Austin, Texas Key responsibilities

Lead physical security designs (construction drawings and specifications) and architectural elements (cameras, access control, intrusion detection, fences, gates, etc.) for AWS GovCloud DC projects. Collaborate with AWS industrial security teams to develop design standards, evaluate cost, risk, and benefits, and facilitate intelligence community compliant designs. Stay current on the latest physical security technologies and best practices used in sensitive facility designs. Lead the creation and maintenance of a Physical Security Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for physical security elements. Create security design scope of work for design Requests For Proposals. Review and direct the work of physical security engineering design consultants. Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously. Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction reviews, and interfacing with design consultants. Anticipated travel not to exceed 25%. Team and culture

Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience 10+ years of physical security design experience in a regulated industry 3+ years of physical security design experience in data center or similar mission-critical projects 5+ years of SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) physical security design experience Preferred qualifications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year to $212,800/year, depending on location and experience.
