As a Software Engineer (data science focus), your first year will focus on shipping projects that directly impact match quality, time-to-hire, candidate experience, and revenue growth. Key contributions include: Defining north-star and feature-level metrics for ranking, interview analytics, and payouts Designing and running A/B tests and quasi-experiments, with insights turned into product decisions within the same week Building dashboards and lightweight data models to empower team self-service Partnering with engineers to improve data instrumentation, quality, and latency Prototyping ML models (from baselines to gradient boosting) to enhance matching and scoring Designing evaluation frameworks for LLM-powered agents, including rubrics, human-in-the-loop studies, and guardrails Solid fundamentals in statistics, SQL, and Python, with real projects you’re proud to showcase Iterating quickly—frame questions, test, and ship within days Communication is as important to you as technical rigor You’re curious about LLM evaluation, retrieval, and ranking, and enjoy collaborating with peers from companies like Jane Street, Citadel, D.E. Shaw, Databricks, Stripe, and Google Qualifications
0–2 years in data science, analytics, or similar roles BS/BA in a quantitative field (or equivalent experience) Strong SQL and Python skills for analysis Comfort with experiment design and causal inference Crisp communicator who can turn insights into action Nice-to-haves
Experience with dbt and dashboarding tools (Hex, Mode, Looker) Exposure to marketplace/search/recommendation metrics Familiarity with LLM/agent evaluation Equity:
Meaningful ownership in the company Relocation:
