Overview
Resident Services Coordinator – Tenderloin Family Housing & Golden Gate Apartments. Full-time, nonexempt position based in San Francisco. Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, plus some nights and weekends. Salary: $30.26 - $31.85 per hour; Comprehensive benefits. This floater role provides services at two sites: Tenderloin and Western Addition properties, supporting a diverse resident population including families, single adults, and seniors. Responsibilities
Offer ongoing supportive services to residents including case management, information and referral, housing stability assistance, and coordination with Property Management and other third-party providers. Collaborate with onsite staff, other Chinatown Community Development Center (CCDC) departments, and city funders. Organize, set up, implement, and evaluate activities and events focusing on cross-cultural community building; develop on-site programming with emphasis on aging-in-place, health & wellness, and educational workshops. Build, maintain, and monitor relationships with social service agencies to bring additional programming to the property. Provide technical assistance, staffing support, and translation services to resident groups. Support residents facing housing stability issues, including applying for rental assistance. Lead resident services projects and cross-site initiatives (e.g., field trips, meals programs, food drives, greening activities). Document resident questions on operational protocols and coordinate with Property Management on rent, work orders, reasonable accommodations, and critical incidents. Order, shop for, and purchase program supplies; triage with multiple CCDC departments to support relocation when needed. Gather, track, and provide information for city-mandated reporting. Qualifications
General understanding of and sensitivity to multigenerational communities, family dynamics, senior and youth needs, mental health, and aging among very low-income populations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and follow-through skills; ability to collaborate with social service agencies. Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and exercise independent judgment; maintain confidentiality. Professional demeanor, with ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations. Academic qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field with two years of direct services experience to low-income populations and group activity development, or a High School diploma/GED with five years of relevant experience. Verbal and written communication skills; ability to advocate for residents and liaise with service agencies and property management. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a non-supportive housing environment, working with on-site Property Management to promote housing stabilization. Experience applying Harm Reduction models and knowledge of local neighborhood resources. Experience measuring program outcomes. Organization Information
