Responsibilities
Leads the day-to-day operations of a larger community of 60-65 units and two product lines or 65-175 units with up to two product lines. Responsible for associate relations, resident and resident family engagement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. Develops and executes the business plan and builds the team to be a preferred senior living community; grows revenue and profitability in partnership with the district team. Works with sales to drive sales results. Creates an inclusive community culture that provides high-quality resident experiences and care and engages residents, families, and associates.
Responsible for all operations within the community, interacting with staff and residents, prospects, or their family members or representatives, as necessary.
Develops and implements the business plan to become a preferred senior living community in the local market; analyzes and executes annual operating and capital budgets; manages community performance against goals; plans to improve or maintain performance to Company service and financial standards.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with the management team; fosters teamwork and collaboration; empowers department leaders to supervise, direct, and motivate staff; ensures appropriate staffing levels and compliance with legal requirements.
Supports department leaders to attract, develop, engage, and retain associates; leads recruiting and hiring; ensures training and development; analyzes turnover trends and implements retention strategies.
Strives for high resident satisfaction and retention; maintains positive resident relations; leads renewal programs and partners with Resident Council; administers resident surveys and works with leadership to address opportunities for improvement.
For assisted living or memory care, ensures collaboration with clinical leadership to meet resident needs; oversees resident services, admission processes, healthcare management, and documentation for compliance.
Demonstrates financial acumen; develops and executes operating and capital budgets; plans to overcome unanticipated expenses or revenue shortfalls; seeks revenue enhancement and expense reduction while meeting resident needs and policies.
Drives sales and marketing with the community sales leader to meet occupancy/revenue targets; engages with prospects; implements approved sales and marketing activities to maximize revenue.
Builds relationships with local influencers; participates in community and public affairs; represents the community to governmental agencies, professional organizations, and public groups.
Ensures buildings and grounds meet Company standards through preventative maintenance oversight and regular inspections.
Enforces Company policies and maintains licenses as required by law.

Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum of three years related operational leadership experience required. Additional years of experience can be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Certifications, Licenses, And Other Special Requirements Must have a valid administrator license in states where required. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for business use.
Management/Decision Making Uses strong analytic skills and understanding of the organization to handle problems; demonstrates leadership to direct resident care, marketing, food service, housekeeping, and maintenance units; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policy and law.
Knowledge And Skills Advanced knowledge of the organization and industry; strong communication skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; ability to delegate; strong judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
