Job Description Responsibilities and qualifications describe a leadership role overseeing a community’s daily operations, associate relations, resident and family engagement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance within a senior living setting. Responsibilities
Is responsible for all operations within the community, interacting with staff and residents, prospects, or their family members or representatives; builds and maintains strong working relationships with the management team. Develops and implements the business plan with the district team; creates, analyzes, and executes annual operating and capital budgets; reviews performance against goals and plans to improve performance to company standards. Acts as a hands-on leader who supervises, directs, and motivates staff; ensures appropriate staffing levels to meet resident needs and comply with legal requirements. Attracts, develops, engages, and retains associates; recruits and hires high-quality staff and ensures training and development; analyzes recruiting and retention trends to improve community performance. Builds resident satisfaction and retention; maintains positive resident relations; partners with Resident Council; administers surveys and develops plans to address opportunities for improvement. For assisted living or memory care, collaborates with the clinical leader to ensure care and services meet residents’ needs; oversees resident services including admission, healthcare management, and documentation. Maintains financial acumen to meet budgeted revenue and profitability; develops plans to address expenses or revenue shortfalls; explores revenue enhancement opportunities. Drives sales and marketing in collaboration with the district team to meet occupancy and revenue targets; engages with prospects and implements approved sales strategies. Builds relationships with local influencers and participates in community affairs aligned with the company’s mission; represents the community to governmental and professional groups. Ensures buildings and grounds meet company standards through preventive maintenance oversight and inspections; enforces policies and maintains required licenses. Performs other duties as assigned by supervision. Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum of two years in operational leadership experience required. Additional years of experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Certifications, Licenses, And Other Special Requirements
Must have a valid administrator license in states where required. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for business use. Management/Decision Making
Uses analytic skills to handle problems; demonstrates leadership to direct and evaluate resident care, marketing, food service, housekeeping, and maintenance; supervises in accordance with policies and laws. Knowledge And Skills
Knowledge of the organization and industry; strong written and oral communication; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; ability to delegate; good judgment and problem-solving skills. Physical Demands and Working Conditions
