L3Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation has an opening for an Electrical Engineer with test experience, testing and installing circuit card assemblies, components, assemblies, and systems, troubleshooting, identifying components, suppliers for components, developing tests, and writing test procedures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of test engineering and coordinating with cross-functional team members and external partners. Essential Functions / Responsibilities
Serve as a Test Engineer in all phases of testing in support of development, integration, fielding and operational support of flight test instrumentation systems and shipboard systems. Test, investigate failures, troubleshoot, and repair program-unique circuit card assemblies. Perform test activities including writing test procedures, test planning, test conduct and test reporting. Troubleshoot and resolve test issues and document and monitor test results. Analyze and select components and materials to meet system requirements; interface with suppliers for components and materials. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional teams to ensure proper coordination of project, product, and system requirements. Work with external partners to document and maintain Coordinated Interface requirements and SITP requirements. Develop installation and checkout procedures for flight test instrumentation and shipboard systems with other engineers. Contribute to and present during customer reviews. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience; graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience; or in lieu of a degree, 8 years of related experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. 4+ years of direct experience as a Test Engineer. Preferred Additional Skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Familiarity with various testing techniques. Knowledge of quality standards and regulations. Good troubleshooting skills; ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and cabling diagrams. Special Requirements
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Security clearance are required for this position. Salary information: In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary ranges are: California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, Greater D.C., Denver, NYC areas: $90,500 - $168,500 Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Vermont: $79,000 - $146,500 This is not a guarantee of compensation; final offer amount may vary based on experience and location.
