1 Role Purpose
Ensure efficient coordination, planning, and execution of the evaluation, enabling the technical team to focus on evidence generation. The Project Manager acts as the operational backbone of the evaluation team. Key Responsibilities Maintain a detailed workplan, budget, and deliverables tracking system, aligned with Global Fund requirements. Coordinate internal team meetings, progress reviews, and communications with the Global Fund Evaluation and Learning Office (ELO). Manage logistics for travel, onboarding, and stakeholder consultations, ensuring smooth organization of interviews, workshops, and data collection. Support contracting and coordination of in-country consultants, ensuring administrative processes are efficient and compliant. Monitor timelines and deliverables, flagging risks and proposing solutions to keep the evaluation on track. Ensure version control and proper documentation of reports, datasets, and supporting evidence. Provide the Team Lead and Principal Evaluator with status updates, dashboards, and summaries to support decision-making.
Requirements
University degree in project management, public health, or international development. 5-7 years' project management experience in international development or donor-funded evaluations. Strong organizational, financial, and coordination skills. Experience working with multicultural, geographically dispersed teams. Familiarity with Global Fund operations or other multilateral donors is desirable. English proficiency required; French highly desirable. Domiciled in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia or SE Asia is highly desirable.
