Responsibilities
Possessing a specialized skillset including a deep understanding of secure communication protocols and encryption standards relevant to military applications
Defining, specifying, and designing complex communication systems, often participating in system design reviews and ensuring adherence to open architecture principles
Obtaining and maintaining a security clearance commensurate with program requirements
Qualifications
Master\'s level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science
10 years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks
Ability to research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs
Ability to apply the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of software and systems
Ability to develop algorithms, analyze, and solve programming problems
Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, and Java
The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are analytical skills
Desired Skills
Experience with tactical waveforms and their implementation within software defined radio (SDR) systems
Familiarity with DoD testing and evaluation (T&E) processes, including development of test plans, procedures, and data analysis techniques
Knowledge of DoD acquisition regulations, specifically those pertaining to software development and data rights
Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle
Proficiency in programming languages relevant to GPP, DSP, and FPGA
Skilled in analyzing software specifications and ensuring portable, high-quality software components
Administrative, communication, leadership, short-term planning, and problem-solving skills
Clearance and Travel
SRC is a contractor for the U.S. Government; U.S. citizenship and a U.S. Government security clearance at the SECRET level with Top Secret / SCI eligibility are required
Occasional CONUS travel may be required
