The role requires at least seven years of experience in benefits administration, HR management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership position. Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of comprehensive benefits programs, including health insurance, healthcare initiatives, retirement plans, life insurance, and voluntary benefits. Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure benefits offerings remain competitive and meet the needs of the workforce across all offices. Collaborate with other Benefits leaders and Talent Management groups to align benefits strategies with organizational goals and priorities. Conduct a gap analysis of benefit needs across the organization and assess the viability of proposed changes. Oversee day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, eligibility verification, and vendor management. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA) by staying informed of changes and coordinating with legal and compliance teams. Partner with HRIS and Payroll teams to optimize benefits administration processes and enhance data accuracy and reporting capabilities. Optimize HRIS capabilities to automate benefits administrative functions and make mobile access feasible where possible. Develop and implement communication strategies with the Benefits Administrator and Benefits Analyst to educate employees about benefits options, enrollment periods, and changes across the Firm. Work with vendors and internal staff to create materials, presentations, and online resources to help employees understand the value of their benefits. Deliver education programming on available benefit and retirement offerings. Collaborate with the Benefits Director to evaluate, select, and manage relationships with benefit vendors, including consultants, insurers, and retirement plan administrators. Contribute to contract negotiations, pricing terms, and service level agreements to optimize value while ensuring high-quality benefits. Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular meetings to address issues. Assist the Benefits Administrator with annual budgeting for all benefit and retirement plans. Ensure accurate recordkeeping and reporting for benefits data, including participation, costs, and compliance requirements. Prepare and file required reports and disclosures (e.g., Form 5500, annual ACA reporting). Coordinate audits and assessments of benefits programs to ensure adherence to policies and regulations. Knowledge of ERISA rules and compliance; experience reviewing Plan Documents and SPDs. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SPHR) are a plus. 7+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR management, with at least 3 years in a leadership/managerial role. In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in HRIS, benefits software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Track record of driving results, collaboration, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Compensation
The national average salary range for this role is $96,000-$157,000. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications, and experience. Benefits
