Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries including Shelter. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proper credentials at all times. You will interact with staff, visitors, and residents, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal values. Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity or suspicious behavior. Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location. Maintain a visible presence to deter potential disturbances within the shelter environment. Document and report security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols. Collaborate with shelter staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters. Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or urgent situations as they arise. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements
Be at least 21 years of age Possess an Armed Guard Card or License Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only Why Join Us
