The

Executive Director, US Field Medical , is a high-impact role responsible for the leadership, management, and accountability of a growing US Field Medical Team within the GI/Hep specialty. This includes direct management of Field Medical Directors (or Sr. Directors) and the specialized Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Clinical Practice Liaisons (CPLs) reporting into them. The Executive Director will drive coaching strategy, field readiness, and medical impact through monitoring execution of the Tactical Plans and Key Performance Indicators. The ideal candidate will be an experienced people leader with deep field medical expertise, a strategic mindset, and a passion for team development and cross-functional collaboration. This role is also accountable for building and maintaining essential capabilities within a newly established field medical team, including oversight of tactical direction, identification of knowledge and capability gaps, and implementation of action plans to ensure the Team operates in alignment with tactical strategy based on scientific, procedural, and compliance knowledge. The Executive Director will support the VP of US Field Medical in strategic and operational planning and serve as a key member of the Field Medical Affairs leadership team. Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management: Develop and lead the regional field (Sr.) Directors for the field medical teams; recruit, onboard, train, coach, and manage the team of field-based medical professionals supporting prioritized HCPs and other field medical stakeholders; oversee performance management and development plans for MSLs and CPLs. Strategic Planning and Project Management: Support the VP of US Medical Affairs and the Medical Affairs Leadership Team in the development and execution of medical product strategy and field medical Tactical Plans; support the Medical Product Team and medical directors on planning and execution of projects. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical Operations, and other functions as needed. Compliance & Quality: Ensure all MSL activities comply with SOPs, industry standards, and applicable regulations; uphold ethical standards in all external engagements. Budget Management: Manage the respective field team budget and review/approve routine expense reports as appropriate. Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25%-40% for key meetings, congresses, and stakeholder engagements. Qualifications & Experience

Minimum: Clinical or scientific degree required (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP, PA, etc.). Minimum of 12 years in Medical Affairs leadership roles, with at least 8 years of formal people leadership experience. Prior experience as a second-line leader preferred. At least 2 years’ experience in endocrinology, hepatology, and/or GI. Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, integrity, teamwork abilities, business acumen, and customer focus. Expert understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and other ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a changing environment and motivate a team. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and capability to interface with various platforms for medical information. Preferred Attributes

Base salary is determined by factors including qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands.
