Overview

Trident Seafoods seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the business by providing specialized services within Accounts Payable and ensuring accurate and timely invoice and payment processing. The ideal candidate is motivated, curious, results-oriented, and committed to outstanding customer service. Essential responsibilities

Reviews, verifies, and troubleshoots all incoming invoices as assigned Posts invoices as assigned including 3-way match Responds to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner Assists in month-end closing activities Ensures compliance to corporate policy and department procedures Maintains files and documentation in accordance with invoice/payment guidelines and generally accepted accounting practices Maintains internal controls as required per company policy Maintains a high level of productivity Participates in or manages assigned special projects Collaborates with peers, leaders and business partners to ensure a successful outcome in all assignments Additional responsibilities

Other responsibilities, as assigned Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings This is a non-exempt position with an hourly pay rate range of $27 to $34 per hour. Qualifications

2+ years Accounts Payable in a medium to large company Two-year Associate Degree in Accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong understanding of accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures including financial chart of accounts Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Preferred qualifications

Prior experience working with SAP Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable Strong organizational and time management skills Strong problem-solving skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities Basic accounting principles knowledge Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. In-office time takes place in a typical office environment with temperature control, adequate lighting and moderate noise. When remote, employees must provide an appropriate home office space. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods at a desk; frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; and occasionally stand, walk, and may lift up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include near vision for frequent computer use. Work Authorization
