Position Senior Electrical Engineer opportunity to join our team and support medium-voltage infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with over 10 years of experience in the field. Employment Type: Full-time. Schedule: Hybrid (3 Days in Office / 2 Days Remote). Salary: $135,000 - $200,000 (based on experience).
Responsibilities
Design medium-voltage (2.4kV-35kV) infrastructure, including specifying switchgear, transformers, and related equipment.
Develop underground distribution systems and shore power systems, and perform associated calculations.
Specify and coordinate protective relaying and SCADA systems for medium-voltage networks.
Field verification, design coordination, preparing construction documents, securing permits, and overseeing construction administration. Work spans both medium- and low-voltage power systems.
Pre-Design Engineering: Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports; prepare electrical schematic designs.
Project Management: Manage multiple large-size projects with other senior engineers and sub-consultants; provide mentorship to design engineers; prepare proposals; develop business with new and existing clients.
Construction Administration: Review and respond to RFIs; review equipment submittals; perform punch walks and prepare punch list reports.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
Registered Professional Engineer license (preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience in the design of power systems.
Experience developing Power System Studies (ETAP/SKM).
Experience with AutoCAD, National Electrical Code, and Revit MEP.
Project management experience is a plus.
Prior experience working on port projects. Must be able to access and perform site visits on federal sites.
Working Knowledge
Engineering design and project management experience.
Strong electrical design capability in commercial settings.
Proficient in written communication and oral presentations.
Ability to work well under pressure, juggle, and prioritize multiple projects.
Detail-oriented, creative, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
Experience in maintaining strong client relationships and computer literacy, including Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).
