Your Next Opportunity The Project Manager I is a mid-level project management position responsible for overseeing electrical construction projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. Provides overall project management support for several small to medium projects or one large project supporting senior project management.

What You’ll Do

Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager.

Supervise and direct project activities, assign tasks, plan, coordinate, resolve problems, and maintain company/project policies and standards.

Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact, assess scope of work, schedule, and resources needed for success.

Prepare a complete estimate for the selected project with detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid form.

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.

Supervise the preparation of change orders and negotiate all change orders on the project.

Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure schedule and budget adherence.

Investigate serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and supervision.

Supervise the preparation of change quotations and assist in negotiating to a conclusion.

Prepare monthly costing reports under supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager.

Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect company interests and maintain client relations.

Review documentation prepared by Assistant Project Manager before submission.

Represent the company in project meetings under guidance of PM II or Sr. Project Manager.

Contribute to other responsibilities as assigned within the business unit.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

Professional demeanor and appearance.

Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office; Accubid and Oracle preferred.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, with flexibility to changing priorities.

Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.

Strong oral and written communication skills for the position.

Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player.

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, vendors, and clients.

What You Bring to Us

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical construction project management.

Combination of training, education, and relevant work experience may be acceptable.

Travel

Up to 25%

Working Conditions

General work environment: primarily on active construction sites with varying indoor conditions.

Noise level typically low to medium.

Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range $94,500.00-$141,800.00 Annual

The pay range reflects the expected compensation for candidates meeting the listed qualifications. Actual pay may vary by location, experience, skills, and education.
