Overview Position Summary: The Chief Information Officer (CIO) at AffirmedRx will provide executive leadership in information strategy, infrastructure, and organizational growth to advance the company's mission. This role will oversee data governance and analytics, leveraging AI to enhance operational efficiency, optimize PBM processes, and build scalable platforms for business intelligence. The CIO will ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and other healthcare regulations while maintaining robust cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and information systems. In addition, this leader will develop and scale high-performing teams, align information and data investments with business priorities, and serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and investors on strategy, risk, and innovation.

What you will do

Information Strategy and Analytics: Lead the enterprise data and analytics strategy, leveraging AI and advanced tools to improve efficiency, cost savings, and decision-making

Information Strategy and Analytics: Oversee the development of scalable data platforms to deliver actionable business intelligence and client insights

Information Strategy and Analytics: Drive the evaluation and adoption of information solutions that optimize PBM processes and reporting

Information Strategy and Analytics: Partner with operations to enhance reporting capabilities for both clients and internal stakeholders

Information Systems, Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and all healthcare regulatory requirements across information and data systems

Information Systems, Compliance and Security: Establish and maintain a robust cybersecurity framework to safeguard sensitive patient, business, and financial information

Information Systems, Compliance and Security: Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud environments, internal systems, and end-user support

Information Systems, Compliance and Security: Optimize vendor management to improve reliability, security, and cost efficiency

Information Systems, Compliance and Security: Implement data governance policies to ensure accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance

Leadership and Strategic Growth: Build and develop high-performing information management teams to support organizational growth

Leadership and Strategic Growth: Partner with the CFO to align information system investments with financial goals and budget constraints

Leadership and Strategic Growth: Ensure IT and data strategies are fully aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable ROI

Leadership and Strategic Growth: Advise the CEO, Board, and investors on information strategy, emerging risks, and opportunities to drive innovation and competitive advantage

What you need

15+ years in healthcare IT, analytics, or enterprise technology leadership

Previous CIO, or VP of Technology experience in a PBM, payer, or healthcare company

Expertise in cloud architecture, AI/ML analytics, and cybersecurity

Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST)

Proven success in scaling IT operations & analytics platforms in a high-growth environment

Experience in vendor negotiations, cost optimization, and enterprise system integrations

Willingness to travel (25-30%)
