Overview

Unreasonable Studios (UNR) is looking for an Executive Producer to lead the production process across branded content, entertainment, and original projects at the UNR Detroit offices. This role is a key operational force: part creative partner, part logistics expert, part client whisperer and ensuring every project is executed on time, on budget, and at the highest creative standard. Key Responsibilities

Integrated Production Leadership

Lead all live-action and photo production efforts, from concept through final delivery, across integrated campaigns (broadcast, social, digital, branded content). Strategize for efficiency and excellence, shaping production approaches that maximize quality and value. Research and curate commercial and social director reels plus photographer portfolios for upcoming opportunities; maintain an active pulse on new and established talent. Liaise with external director reps and production companies, manage reels, and present director recommendations against open RFI / RFPs. Continually building a robust black book of great talent. Oversee bidding processes for live-action projects, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with scope, budget, and creative vision. Provide detailed knowledge of AICP guidelines, cost consultants, and union / non-union crew structures. Source and manage freelance line producers and key production staff, ensuring projects are properly resourced and staffed. Track and manage multiple productions simultaneously with a keen eye on budget, schedule, risk management, and creative execution. Maintain up-to-date documentation, including bid packages, production calendars, and cost reports. Ensure all productions meet legal, safety, and compliance standards, including working knowledge of SAG-AFTRA, DGA, IATSE, and non-union regulations. Client & Stakeholder Management

Be the first point of contact for production projects, offering a combination of warm welcome and ruthless efficiency, ensuring needs are met quickly, pleasantly, and with a solid rationale. Always find solutions, avoiding a "computer says no" attitude. Set clear expectations, flag risks early, and manage up and out as needed. Resourcing & Talent Management

Lead on resourcing for all Live Action, Photo and Integrated projects out of UNR Detroit. Research and curate commercial and social director reels / bios for upcoming opportunities, maintaining an active pulse on new and established talent. Liaise with external director representatives and production companies, manage reels, and present director recommendations against open RFI / RFPs. Source and manage freelance line producers and key production staff, ensuring projects are properly resourced and staffed. Work with Business Affairs (BA) to develop production agreements, usage and licensing terms, Statements of Work (SOWs), Estimates, and Timelines. Oversee bidding processes for live-action projects, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with scope, budget, and creative vision. Track and manage multiple productions simultaneously with a keen eye on budget, schedule, risk management, and creative execution. Maintain up-to-date documentation, including bid packages, production calendars, and cost reports across all Detroit jobs. Track the overall revenue of your productions and the producers reporting to you, ensuring the team is profitable and consistently optimized. Work directly with UNR finance to build quarterly reports for your specific revenue streams. Collaborate deeply with agency partners to interpret briefs, treatments, and scripts. Ensure creative integrity throughout the production process while meeting client and brand goals. Help shape treatments, production decks, and presentation materials where needed. Qualifications

8+ years of integrated or live-action production experience at a production company, with at least 3 years in a senior or executive producer role. Proven experience producing commercial and social content, preferably in both agency and brand-direct environments. 5–7+ years of production experience across branded content, commercials, or original short-form. A track record of owning and delivering multi-faceted campaigns, ideally with agency or brand involvement. Deep familiarity with all phases of production and post-production.
