The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Senior Director for Engagement, Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement [R0148903]. ROLE of the POSITION The Senior Director of Engagement will have a deep understanding of constituent engagement and philanthropy used to manage the comprehensive alumni engagement efforts on behalf of the Office of Alumni Engagement. This position is designed to be the link between the University, the Division, and the UNLV Alumni Association to our nearly 155,000-plus Alumni worldwide and over 33,000 students. Responsibilities
Reports to the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Alumni Engagement and Executive Director of the UNLV Alumni Association. Supervises the Director for Alumni Career Engagement and other staff as determined by departmental needs. Represents the AVP in their absence at divisional and campus events and programs, and at community events when necessary. Supports university-wide and presidential goals, including development and execution of a major fundraising campaign. Strategizes on and is accountable to metrics that reflect how alumni engagement feeds annual giving. Makes data-informed recommendations to the AVP, manages data and metrics tracking in the Salesforce CRM related to the CASE Alumni Engagement Metrics (Volunteer, Communications, Experiential, Philanthropic). Develops, manages, and executes programs and events to facilitate lifelong dialogue between the University and its constituents to increase alumni participation and giving. Examples include Student Philanthropy Council, Alumni in Admissions Program, Regional Rebel Networks, Graduates of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.) programming, UNLV Alumni Association events and programs, including the Annual Alumni Awards and the Fred C. Albrecht Scholarship Golf Tournament, and others as determined by the AVP or Divisional Leadership. Works with the AVP to develop and manage an overall budget (cash and in-kind) split between funds from the UNLV Foundation and the UNLV Alumni Association to promote alumni, donor, and student engagement with UNLV. This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in alumni engagement, higher education leadership, or related fields. This position also requires a minimum of 3 years of supervisory and management experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date. Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years of related experience is preferred. At least five years of supervisory and management experience is preferred. Master’s degree preferred. Commitment to Diversity and Campus Values
