Overview
Amazon is seeking a dedicated, multitasking, and customer-obsessed individual to support 2-3 Directors across the Database Services team within the Utility Computing org at AWS. This role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important, as is a good sense of humor. The candidate should be able to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with urgency when needed, and take effective action without needing the total picture.
Key responsibilities
Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities and calendars
Management of multiple complex calendars and scheduling requirements
Acting as a liaison for direct reports
Driving key team activities (such as staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, supply ordering)
Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on items not completed
Travel coordination for executives
Participating in planning of events
Having fun at work and helping others do the same
This position will work with other assistants throughout the Database Services and across the rest of the company
A day in the life Working in a highly ambiguous environment, you will demonstrate initiative, complete tasks and projects quickly, and proactively take action without having to know the total picture. You will learn organizational structures and objectives of the teams you support, as well as build a strong internal network. You will apply a superior attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple critical requests while maintaining flexibility, a sense of humor, and grace under pressure. About The Team AWS Utility Computing (UC)
provides product innovations—from foundational services such as Amazon S3 and Amazon EC2—to continually released product innovations that set AWS services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for cloud services.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of senior level leadership support, or 3+ years of Amazon experience
Experience with domestic or international travel coordination
Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
High school or equivalent diploma
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of senior level leadership support experience
Experience leading process improvements
Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
