The Opportunity This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the CHR Corporate Human Resources division.
As the Manager of Executive Compensation, the incumbent will provide executive compensation subject matter expertise for Abbott’s corporate officers.
What You’ll Work On
Lead the development, analysis and execution of executive compensation programs to attract, retain and reward Abbott’s senior leaders.
Develop all materials for the Compensation Committee meetings.
Perform internal/external data analysis, interpret findings, and present proposals/recommendations to senior leadership.
Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of executive compensation and pay components by benchmarking against industry and proxy peers; present findings concisely and constructively.
Serve as the subject matter expert on topics including grantor trust administration, officer appointments and retirements, proxy advisor modeling, officer goal setting/scoring, and more.
Manage the administration of Abbott’s non-qualified deferred compensation plans.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or relevant field
5+ years of overall work experience in a relevant field including, but not limited to: project/program management, executive compensation or broad-based compensation
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities and project timelines, anticipate needs and determine next steps
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and project management tools
Demonstrated ability to work with teams and interact at all organizational levels including key stakeholders and senior management
Demonstrated excellence in organizational and time management, problem-solving, influencing, communication, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience administering deferred compensation plans
Master’s degree (or MBA) in HR, Project Management, or relevant field
3+ years of Executive Compensation experience preferred
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
Experience administering compensation plans and market pricing/benchmarking
Experience with large, global organization
In-depth knowledge of rewards theory, trends, best practices, laws/regulations

The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
