Overview
Our client, which supports the U.S. Coast Guard's mission in Washington, D.C., is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will support the U.S. Coast Guard's Robotics and Autonomous Systems Program Executive Office (RAS PEO). This role provides expert engineering support for the design, development, testing, and integration of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), ensuring compliance with USCG technical standards and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities
Review engineering documentation and assess technical risks across the acquisition lifecycle. Support test and evaluation programs and configuration management activities. Provide subject matter expertise in robotics, autonomy, sensors, communications, and software systems. Evaluate interoperability and integration with other USCG platforms and systems. Qualifications
Strong background in systems engineering, particularly in autonomous or aviation systems. Expertise in robotics, sensor integration, and software development. Familiarity with USCG engineering standards and configuration management processes. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Requirements

SME do not have specific experience/education qualifications but are typically identified as recognized industry leaders for a given area of expertise.
