Company: The Boeing Company Boeing AvionX has opportunities for FPGA Design Engineers at Lead & Senior levels to join our Digital Avionics team. We are expanding our Digital Avionics development team to create trusted, high-assurance FPGA devices for advance Commercial and Military Avionics Systems. Locations: Phoenix (Mesa), Dallas (Plano), or St. Louis (Hazelwood). Travel may be required up to 10% domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs. Position Responsibilities

Perform FPGA design on single or multi-FPGA programs, collaborating with other FPGA designers, verification engineers, and project engineers. Support FPGA development projects requiring early proof of concept designs and high assurance/safety critical FPGA development with robust performance. Collaborate with system, hardware, and software engineers to capture requirements and architect digital logic functions to meet mission/customer needs. Explore trade spaces of FPGA/ASIC technologies and determine optimal parts, weighing Schedule, Cost, Risk, Area, Power (SCRAP) against performance. Drive robustness and rigor into early adopter technology solutions for high assurance/safety critical Avionics. Engage in FPGA/hardware first-time power-up and during system, software, hardware, and FPGA lab integration as needed. Contribute to continuous improvement of FPGA design processes and tools; leadership or mentorship for junior engineers as appropriate. Basic Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry. 9+ years of FPGA and/or ASIC design experience supporting high assurance and/or safety critical applications. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering. Experience leading ASIC/FPGA design teams to deliver robust solutions on time. Proficiency with latest FPGA development and version control tools in a Linux compute farm environment. Experience designing FPGA or ASIC per a DO-254 Design Assurance level A or B process. Experience creating FPGA design documents (FPGA Specification, Architecture, Detail Design, etc.). Proficiency with version control or production release systems (Git, ClearCase, Teamcenter, etc.). Experience with Aircraft Avionics Systems. Ability to troubleshoot FPGA in an engineering lab environment. Experience with DOORS for requirements management. Experience with tools used for FPGA development traceability. Other Information
