Designs, installs, maintains, supports, and documents the server infrastructure and hosted applications Identifies, analyzes and initiates resolutions as a tier II & III support for client, server, and application side incidents. Uses Active Directory Administrative tools, System Center, and additional software of administration of the server operations infrastructure. Works with I.T. Staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from County employees. Works with outside vendor services to ensure that support contracts are adhered to and services are provided in an efficient and timely manner. Implements technology improvements to maximize efficiency, reduce administrative overhead, and strengthen security. Arrives on time and accurately maintains timesheet in accordance with department policies. Participates in on call rotation, scheduled maintenance, and necessary after hours work. Proactively researches and stays informed of technological advances and trends in I.T. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems. MCSA Server 2012/2016 or CCNA Certifications preferred. 4 years experience supporting an enterprise infrastructure. Strong understanding of Microsoft Server 2008, 2012R2, & 2016 operating systems and features. Proficient with virtualization technologies VMware/Hyper-V. Security oriented, possess the ability to quantitatively identify risks and provide solutions for effective countermeasures and mitigation within the Operations environment. Skilled in supporting electronic messaging including Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, and associated applications. Strong understanding of enterprise storage architecture including connectivity & design, physical/virtual SAN, hyper-convergence, and backup & recovery methodologies. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Virtual Networking, PKI. Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to evaluate a problem and determine an effective course of action. Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously with excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearances. Must be able to maintain prompt and regular attendance. Must possess a valid driver's license. Weekend and after hours work required including participation in a department on call schedule.
STARTING SALARY RANGE:
$35.42 - $44.28 hourly based on qualifications
