Maintenance & Technical Training Specialist

The Maintenance & Technical Training Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of SIA's Technical training content to include Maintenance candidate/new hire assessments and periodic skills refresher/confirmation testing for Maintenance and Key Skilled Associates. They will also be responsible for SIA's Maintenance Training Program to include selection participation, training, and promotional confirmations. Outline of duties: Develop and maintain all Maintenance and Technical testing and training materials. This will include assessments for candidate screenings, Maintenance training programs, and technical refresher/skill-up activity. Collaborate with other technical Sections to analyze and recommend training countermeasure activity related to targeted technical skills deficiencies and/or kaizen for Maintenance and Key Skilled Associates. Responsible for the full-cycle coordination of SIA's Maintenance Training Program(s) to include assessment administration, interview/selection participation, classroom and hands-on training, and promotion confirmations. Responsible for researching and remaining up to date on technical developments within the industry. This will include participation in training conferences/seminars and subsequent "teach back" activity to the organization. Responsible for maintaining all testing equipment within SIA's Technical Training Center to include vendor collaboration on parts repairs/replacements. Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in a technical discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience. A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered. 3+ years of relevant leadership experience in a team environment. Proven experience in advanced technical skills training (mechanical, fluid power, electrical, PLC, robotics, failure analysis, motor control, process control, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience with AutoCAD, SAP Maintenance Systems and/or Parts Inventory Control Experience with technical training in an industrial manufacturing environment.
