Are you an experienced Financial Corporate Controller looking for your next challenge? This position is a chance to work alongside our dynamic Accounting and Finance group, reporting directly to the CFO. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance within our financial operations. Adaptability, proactivity, and leadership are essential in this autonomous, deadline-driven environment. You will also oversee the integration of technology to optimize our financial reporting systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain effective internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations. Oversee the monthly amortization for Service Contracts and Provider revenue, ensuring the implementation of cancellation logic. Create and manage a comprehensive five-year financial forecast, incorporating sales projections and amortization schedules. Collaborate with the CFO and departmental leaders to prepare and consolidate budgets while conducting variance analysis to inform future performance. Safeguard business assets through established internal controls and internal audit processes. Understand and report on inventory processes and financials. Track and manage expenses to promote continuous operational improvements. Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, providing guidance to enhance team effectiveness. Approve monthly general ledger entries and manage the overall general ledger. Coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial statements and reconciliation of accounts receivable and payable. Ensure timely and precise financial reporting, including GAAP and Modified Cash Financials. Support Payroll in compliance and approval processes on a biweekly basis. Manage tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings for income and other taxes. Facilitate audit activities, acting as the liaison for internal and external audits. Account for and oversee all corporate overhead allocations. Ensure accuracy in the management of all bank accounts. Analyze business performance metrics and sales using tools like Power BI. Take on special projects as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years in the insurance industry. BS and MS in Accounting required. CPA certification is required. Over 10 years of progressive management experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably within the insurance sector. 5+ years of experience in leadership roles. Strong knowledge of accounting systems, financial analysis, and operational management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with group accounting and financial consolidations. Understanding of insurance reserving and ultimate loss estimation techniques is essential. Familiarity with insurance regulatory compliance, especially in risk-adjusted solvency. Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Power Pivot, and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP). Experience with NetSuite is required.
