Overview
Executive Underwriter – Captive Fronting, Alternative Risk Transfer , based in New York. Allianz Commercial seeks a dedicated professional to join our Captive Solutions & Multinational North America team. Responsibilities
Act as the primary relationship manager and subject matter expert for a portfolio of Global Captive Fronting accounts, fostering strong client and broker relationships and promoting the ART value proposition. Provide technical guidance on Captive Fronted program structures and collaborate with Distribution to identify and pursue growth opportunities. Client Interaction & Relationship Management: serve as the key relationship point of contact for clients and brokers, ensuring exceptional service; build and maintain long-term relationships with key client and broker contacts; develop relationships with Allianz Commercial Lines of Business (LOBs) and the Multinational Unit to enhance service delivery. Business Development & Growth: identify and develop new business opportunities with Distribution and LOBs; deliver market and competitor insights to inform strategy; negotiate fees and ensure account profitability. Promoting ART Value Proposition: advocate and market the ART offering for fronting and structured underwriting both externally and within Allianz Group. Operational Excellence & Compliance: manage a portfolio of Global Captive Multinational Structured Fronting accounts with a focus on governance, compliance, and credit exposure management; adhere to corporate compliance standards including credit risk, legal documentation, and licensing; develop and communicate operational KPIs and SLAs. Strategic Insight & Industry Knowledge: maintain current understanding of client needs and industry segments to tailor solutions; ensure delivery on service standards to enhance client satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 7 years’ experience negotiating, structuring and executing complex Fronting and Multinational programs. Client relationship management experience up to C-suite level. 5+ years’ experience in a line of business or risk management role. In-depth understanding of Captive concepts, their rationale, and operations; broad-based knowledge of major lines of business. Ability to define a clear value proposition and develop innovative solutions in changing environments. Experience applying market knowledge and understanding business and customer needs; ability to utilize tools to support day-to-day tasks and data-driven decision making; ability to articulate strategies to address market trends. Strong communication skills, written and verbal; ability to influence senior stakeholders across Lines of Business and Functions; ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and peers. University degree or insurance qualification in Actuarial, Insurance, Underwriting, Finance or Legal. What’s in it for you
