Overview

We are looking for a Senior Developer Advocate II to serve developers by inspiring and equipping them to build with DigitalOcean. You will join a dynamic Developer Advocacy team within the Developer Relations organization and work closely with Growth, Product and Engineering teams. This role focuses on revolutionizing cloud computing and AI by helping developers create, deploy, and operate software with DigitalOcean. What you’ll do Inspire and equip developers at developer events in your city. Engage authentically with software developers at in-person events such as meetups, conferences, hackathons, and workshops. Create code and content that educates developers to be successful with DigitalOcean. Content may include tutorials, videos, workshops, social media posts, and other formats valued by developers; these assets also inform improvements to the developer experience. Provide insightful feedback to Product teams based on your usage of the products. Build with the platform to identify rough edges and areas for improvement. Guide and mentor the Developer Relations team based on your experience to best serve developers. Decide how to scale our developer relations efforts as success grows across videos, events, workshops, and other tactics, ensuring authentic service to more developers. Significant experience in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Ruby, Java, or C#) with breadth across several ecosystems. Experience creating publicly available high-quality, customer-facing technical content (videos, written content, research publications) and leading teams that produce content.
