This position in the IT Department is responsible for the strategic design and architecture of the firm's data, wireless, video, and VOIP networks. Responsibilities include ensuring the stability, integrity and performance of these network services by planning, designing, and developing LANs, MANs, WANs, wireless networks and security infrastructure. The Senior Network Architect will provide technical leadership and assist in analysis and resolution of network, VOIP, and video hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Oversee the strategic design and architecture of the firm's data network environment. Oversee design, deployment, and maintenance of network systems and components including routers, switches, internet services, WANs, wireless networks, VPNs, firewalls, video networks, VoIP networks, security infrastructure, and performance monitoring systems. Participate in physical build planning and design for new spaces; scope, design, plan, oversee and test inter-rack and station cabling for office, MDF, IDF and datacenter builds and refreshes. Configure networks to ensure smooth and reliable operation to fulfill business objectives. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend purchases or enhancements of network hardware and software. Establish performance standards, processes, policies, and procedures. Provide senior level technical support for network elements and systems. Design and provide for monitoring of network performance and troubleshoot problems as needed. Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs. Create and maintain documentation related to network architecture and configuration. Assure knowledge transfer for new systems. Coordinate with other members of the firm for business continuity. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent experience. 10+ years experience in network field. Proven experience with planning, installing and managing networks including LAN, MAN, WAN, Optical Networking, DWDM, Wi-Fi, SDWAN or WAN Optimizers, F5 Load Balancers, global traffic management, Cisco switches/routers, and security infrastructure. Strong knowledge of network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices. Strong hands-on knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols and technologies (e.g., Carrier Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, QoS, NTP, SNMP, BGP/OSPF, MPLS, IPsec, Wi-Fi 6/6E). Experience with Cisco routers and switches (Nexus series, 3850/4500/9300, ISR, etc.). Experience with Infoblox DNS/DHCP, DWDM, SDWAN, Firewalls, Checkpoint/Cisco ISE, SDN, network segmentation, ISE, ACLs, and related tools. Network monitoring systems experience (e.g., Gigamon, SolarWinds, NetFlow, Splunk). Strong DNS management experience (A, CNAME, TXT, SRV, NS, PTR, SPF, DKIM). Data center and IDF design, cabling, UPS management. Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP, CCDA, CCSP (not required). Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, customer service, teamwork, leadership, project management, and ability to work in a multi-office environment.
