Senior Network Architect ECLARO is looking for a senior network architect to join our client in Boston, MA. This role focuses on the strategic design and architecture of data, wireless, video, and VoIP networks across an enterprise.

Base Pay Range $142,000.00/yr – $228,000.00/yr

Position Overview

Responsible for the strategic design and architecture of the firm's data, wireless, video, and VoIP networks.

Ensure the stability, integrity, and performance of these network services.

Plan, design, and develop LANs, MANs, WANs, wireless networks and security infrastructure across the organization.

Assist in the analysis and resolution of network, VoIP, and video hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate manner.

Provide technical leadership from strategic decision making down to project planning level.

Responsibilities

Oversee the strategic design and architecture of the firm's data network environment.

Design, deploy, and maintain various network systems and components including routers, switches, internet services, WAN services, wireless networks, VPNs, firewalls, video networks, VoIP infrastructure, security, performance management and monitoring systems.

Participate in physical build planning and design for new spaces, and scope, recommend, design, plan, oversee and test inter‑rack and station cabling for office, MDF, IDF, and datacenter builds and refreshes.

Configure networks to ensure smooth and reliable operation for business objectives and processes.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend purchase, development, or enhancement of network hardware and software.

Establish performance standards, processes, policies, and procedures.

Provide senior‑level technical support for network elements and systems.

Design and provide for the monitoring of network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.

Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near‑ and long‑term network capacity needs.

Create and maintain documentation related to network architecture and configuration.

Assure knowledge transfer for new systems.

Coordinate with other members of the firm for business continuity program.

Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

10+ years’ experience in the network field.

Proven experience with planning, installing and managing LAN, MAN, WAN, optical networking, Wi‑Fi, SDWAN, WAN optimizers, load balancers, network security (firewalls, VPN, DMZ, IDS/IPS, web proxy, content filter), and related infrastructure.

Strong hands‑on knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols and technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP, VPN, BGP, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, etc.).

Strong working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches (Nexus, C9400, ISR, etc.) and Microsoft certificate servers.

Experience with Infoblox, DNS/DHCP, Ciena DWDM, 10 Gb optics, F5 iRules, Cisco ACI, SDN, network segmentation, Checkpoint firewalls, Cisco wireless controllers, SDWAN, SSL certificate creation.

Experience with network monitoring systems (Gigamon, NetScout, SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.) and DNS record management (A, CNAME, TXT, SRV, PTR, SPF, DMARC, DKIM).

Data Center, server room, IDF design; station cabling layout; UPS management and monitoring.

Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP, CCDA, CCSP.

Strong verbal, interpersonal, analytical, problem‑solving, customer‑service, team, leadership, and project‑management skills.

Experience working in a multi‑office environment.
