About This Position
The IT Lead Officer will lead the daily IT operations that support Front, Middle, and Back-office capabilities of IDB Invest. The role manages a diverse team using agile practices to ensure the bank’s technology infrastructure is robust, asset-light, scalable, and aligned with business goals. The position requires a strong technical background in native cloud architecture, integrations, and the Microsoft Azure and/or Salesforce ecosystems, as well as managing the relationship between business and IT stakeholders to ensure decisions align with client needs and strategic goals. The IT Lead Officer oversees the IT Support and Maintenance team, ensuring continuous availability, performance, and security of core systems that enable daily business operations. This includes incident resolution, service requests, preventive maintenance, minor change implementations with minimal disruption, SLA establishment and monitoring, and driving operational excellence. What you’ll do
Strategic Leadership: Ensure alignment of technology strategy with the bank’s business goals and regulatory requirements. Define and implement incident management, problem resolution, and service reliability strategies to improve user satisfaction. Design IT support models to ensure stability and efficiency, leveraging partnerships and seamless transition of initiatives to operations. Team Management: Lead a diverse IT team, foster accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service reliability. Implement agile practices to improve end-to-end efficiency and ensure alignment with user needs. Mentor technical staff to meet the bank’s needs and promote technical excellence and customer-centricity. Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient operation of Front, Middle, and Back-office systems. Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and incident management to maintain uptime and performance, with proactive issue resolution and strong SLAs and KPIs. Manage IT assets, software, devices, and licenses. Technical Oversight: Ensure rich API integration of banking systems and platforms. Maintain security, scalability, continuous improvements, and reliability of all technical operations. Stakeholder Engagement: Understand and address diverse needs with customer-centric decision-making. Act as liaison between technology and other areas, managing expectations regarding capabilities and limitations. Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations and data protection standards. Maintain documentation and runbooks enabling automated solutions using cloud-native services. Education:
Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience:
Minimum 6+ years in IT management and complex implementations. Proven track record managing Front, Middle, and Back-office operations in banking/financial services. Extensive experience with native cloud architecture (SaaS/PaaS), particularly Microsoft Azure and Salesforce, and tailor-made applications. Experience in systems integration and enterprise architecture; knowledge in API Management and DevOps is a plus, with experience implementing agile practices. Proven track record in IT support and governance frameworks (ITIL/COBIT). Experience establishing processes, policies, and performance metrics for operational excellence and continuous service improvement. Skills:
In-depth knowledge of banking operations and regulatory requirements; excellent leadership and team management; strong cloud computing expertise; proficiency in agile methodologies; strong communication and stakeholder management; ability to drive innovation and manage change. Languages:
Proficiency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) required. French and Portuguese knowledge is preferable. Requirements: Citizenship:

No family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity or second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab. Type of contract:
