Immigration Attorney - EOIR Job Location:
Phoenix, AZ Job Overview: A leading law firm is actively seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney for an exciting EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) position. This opportunity offers a dynamic role for an attorney passionate about immigration law, with the chance to work closely with an accomplished team of legal professionals. Duties: Provide strategic guidance and clear explanations regarding immigration law to clients. Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals. Manage an active caseload efficiently while maintaining strong client relationships. Conduct intake interviews and visits with detained individuals at detention centers. Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions. Review and revise immigration application packets to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding changes in immigration law. Conduct consultations with potential clients and determine the best strategic approach for their cases. Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony. Provide legal analysis and recommendations for clients based on case specifics. Draft and submit legal briefs in support of various immigration matters. Requirements: 1-5 years of experience in immigration law. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience handling Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR matters, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications. Proven ability to manage caseloads and move cases forward efficiently. Knowledge of Case Management Software is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice law in the state of Arizona. Certifications: Active membership in the State Bar of Arizona (or eligibility to practice under supervision if necessary). Skills: Strong legal research and writing skills. Exceptional oral communication and presentation abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. In-depth understanding of immigration law, including removal defense and family-based immigration cases. Ability to strategize and manage cases independently while working collaboratively with a legal team. Job Location: Phoenix, AZ Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
