Litigation Associate Attorney Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team remotely from Brunswick, GA. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense, and must be licensed to practice law in Georgia. Duties: Review new cases to determine action plans and budgets, and provide recommendations. Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as necessary. Prepare discovery responses and manage document production. Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports. Negotiate settlements, obtain necessary authorities, and prepare for trial when required. Maintain consistent communication with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure smooth case management. Requirements: 3-4 years of litigation experience, with a preference for insurance defense. Active license to practice law in Georgia. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; willingness to learn new legal technology systems. Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school. Skills: Exceptional legal research and writing skills. Strong negotiation and settlement skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
