This role is key to the thriving success of our retail operations. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will engage with both wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, address their inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and suggest suitable solutions. You will play a vital role in resolving customer concerns and ensuring complete client satisfaction while staying informed about product features. Additionally, you will help maintain the high quality and visual standards of our products and store. Your focus will be on providing outstanding customer service while consistently achieving the store's sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service through attentive sales interactions.
Assists customers in-person and via phone to determine their needs and present suitable products and services.
Establish trustworthy relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
Accurately process sales transactions in line with established policies.
Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
Retrieve appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
Tint and mix products according to customer specifications as required.
Restock shelves and create attractive displays.
Maintain cleanliness of store equipment.
Assist in loading/unloading delivery trucks and making deliveries when necessary.
Keep assigned areas in stock and presentable.
Stay knowledgeable about available products and options.
Adhere to inventory control processes.
Propose methods to enhance sales performance.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
Capability to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
If already employed at Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a meets expectations (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal.
Must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for current position if applying internally.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
Prior experience selling paint or paint-related products.
Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
Proficiency in reading, writing, comprehending, and communicating in more than one language.
Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
