Administrative Assistant
to provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support for a busy department in Websterville, VT. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong organizational skills who enjoy supporting department functions, coordinating projects, and assisting with customer service tasks.
Position Summary
The
Administrative Assistant - Administrative
will be responsible for organizing department functions, assisting with customer inquiries, and supporting daily operations. The role involves handling phone calls, data entry, order processing, meeting coordination, filing, and general administrative support to ensure smooth departmental workflows.
Key Responsibilities Answer telephones, provide customer assistance, and support general office inquiries. Perform accurate
order entry and data entry
while maintaining up-to-date records and filing systems. Assist in
meeting preparation
including scheduling, agenda creation, and supporting materials. Track timesheets, attendance, purchase orders, and expense reports. Coordinate travel arrangements and order office supplies. Support special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned. Maintain inventory accuracy and follow record retention procedures. Communicate professionally with internal teams and external customers. Skills & Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred. 1-3 years of administrative, clerical, or office support experience. Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
and internet-based tools. Ability to type at least
60 WPM
with accuracy. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Experience with
filing (alphabetical/numerical)
and handling customer issues professionally. Additional Information
Shift:
Monday-Friday, start between 8:00-8:30 AM, end between 4:00-4:30 PM. Contract Duration:
4 months, on-site position. Pre-employment Requirement:
Background check and drug test must be successfully completed prior to start.
