Were looking for a Frontend Developer to join our 8-person team. Youll spend most of your time developing custom websites and web apps with React and Next.js, crafting interfaces that are clean, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. Beyond the visuals, youll also be the one making sure things connect smoothly working with APIs, managing data flows, and shaping the logic that ties the experience together. This isnt a backend-heavy role, but being comfortable talking shop with backend developers and plugging into their work will help you thrive.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain responsive, high-performance websites and web apps with React and Next.js.
Write clean, reusable code that follows modern frontend best practices.
Handle API integrations and data flows, making sure interfaces connect smoothly with backend systems.
Debug and troubleshoot issues to keep projects running smoothly.
Work closely with designers, project managers, and clients to bring ideas to life as functional, user-friendly experiences.
Stay current with frontend tools, trends, and frameworks and know when to put them to use.
Share knowledge, give feedback, and contribute to a collaborative, creative team culture.
Qualifications & Skills
5+ years of professional frontend development experience, with a strong focus on React. A natural problem-solver and troubleshooter comfortable doing the detective work to untangle issues, follow threads when requirements arent clear, and keep projects moving forward. Proven ability to build and launch responsive, performant web applications. Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs, including data integration and state management. Comfortable with modern build tools and workflows (Vite, Turborepo, ESLint, Prettier, etc.). Understanding of SEO principles and performance optimization in a frontend context. Proficient with Git and version control workflows. Able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, creative environment. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
You are an advocate for improving web accessibility. You have experience in Web Design, Visual Design, UI/UX, or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Firebase, Vercel, etc.). Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases. Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress or Contentful. Familiarity with testing tools (Playwright, React Testing Library, Vitest) and the value they bring to reliable code.

Our work blends design and development, with a strong focus on frontend, React, and Next.js projects. We care about making things that not only look good but also work beautifully. Collaboration is a big part of how we operate we bounce ideas around, share feedback, and push each other to do better. Were flexible about where you work: mostly remote, with some in-person time to keep collaboration strong, but were only looking for applicants in Colorado. Our team is small, collaborative, and supportive no silos, no egos, just people who want to do good work. Youll have room to grow your skills and take ownership of your work, not just push tickets across the board. Salary: $105,000 $125,000 (based on skills and experience). Paid time off: 2 weeks vacation plus sick days (with accrual starting at hire). Hybrid flexibility: Remote-friendly, but well ask you to join us in our Lafayette, CO office ~3 days a week for the first 13 months. After that, in-person time shifts to an as-needed basis (typically 12x per week). Health, dental, vision, and life insurance after 60 days. Retirement plan with 3% company match after 1 year.
