Tria Federal is seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst. The Senior Business Analyst and UI designer supporting a custom application development project in an agile development environment. Looking for an advanced and proven BA with the ability to elicit, define, and document user-driven requirements and ensure that they are properly incorporated into the developed software. Must have excellent track record of defining and grooming a Product Backlog of User Stories, tracking and managing team velocity, and leading Sprint and Increment planning sessions. The individual should have proven experience in leading Agile software development teams, conducting Scrum Master duties, and working in concert with Govt Product Owners to successfully track and achieve their priorities. Quality and thorough requirements are a must. This position also includes the need for UI design in the form of wireframes and UI mockups. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree 6+ years of professional experience, 4+ years of Business Analyst experience Advanced experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence MS Office Tools and Applications MS Visio and Business Process Modeling of "As-is" and "To-be" processes Strong experience eliciting functional and non-functional requirements from business and technical stakeholders. Strong experience defining and mapping business process models, and documenting User Stories and Use Cases. Knowledge of BPMN is a strong plus. Experience with software UI/UX design and UI design tools: Axure, JustInMind, Balsamiq, etc Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, including technical and business oriented colleagues and customers. Experience working with the following software products: Atlassian Tool Suite (especially JIRA and Confluence), Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work under pressure, coordinate multiple assignments at once, and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction from supervisors or clients Deep knowledge and experience with full SDLC, and experience working on an agile development project from kickoff to deployment. Strong attention to detail Responsibilities: Perform the role of a Business Analyst on one of several agile software development teams on a large large-scale Federal software development program for our US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client. Coordinate with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts, Stakeholders, and the development and testing team to elicit and define a shared understanding of functional and non-functional requirements. Elicit, define, and produce business process models (as-is and to-be), including "happy path" and "unhappy path" and other techniques. Knowledge of standards and best practices (e.g. BPMN) preferred. Produce requirements visualization and user interface design in the form of UI Mockups, wireframes, UI/UX design, flow diagrams, and business process modeling. Facilitate JAD sessions with Product Owners, SME's, end users, and stakeholders. Define and groom Product Backlog of user-driven requirements. Write User Stories along with corresponding acceptance criteria in Atlassian JIRA, and maintain and groom the product backlog in accordance with established priorities with the Govt Product Owner. Develop and maintain requirements documentation and requirements in team wiki on Atlassian Confluence Assist Product Owner in scoping and prioritizing functionality and grooming the product backlog. Ability to act as team scrum master and facilitator as necessary along with Product Owner and agile team leads to facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint and increment planning. Estimate story sizing and track and manage team velocity Establish a firm understanding of project development progress and deployment schedule in order to support CBP project managers in the preparation for project milestone reviews and critical decision points. Facilitate meetings with Product Owners, SMEs, stakeholders and team members and capture requirements, decision points, and/or meeting minutes Perform gap analyses for requirements completeness and quality Capture action items and requirements from meetings and ensure they are documented and assigned as tasks or incorporated into user stories for timely completion Perform sprint pre-planning, planning, and grooming sessions and ensure workload is assigned appropriately within the agile team to achieve desired velocity. Work very closely with the Govt Product Owner to identify and shape priorities and ensure they are properly incorporated into future sprints and completed in a timely fashion Additional Qualifications: Senior level communication skills with the ability act as liaison between business oriented stakeholders and the technical agile development team. Ability to work with clients to not only achieve immediate tasks and goals, but also to identify, carve-out, and provide value-add services and identify and fill client gaps and challenges. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification (or equivalent), PMP 8+ years professional experience, 5+ years of BA experience, 2+ years of UI/UX design experience, 2+ year of Federal Govt contracting experience Public Trust Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance Work Location: Tria Federal, operates primarily in the Eastern Time Zone, with standard work hours from 9 AM 5 PM ET and flexibility around start and end times based on team needs.
