We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Project Engineer
to support NSUs wastewater treatment and water reuse projects. This role involves a combination of engineering design, drafting (AutoCAD/Revit), fieldwork, and overall project execution. The ideal candidate will contribute to the preparation of construction documents, support project management efforts, and participate in site inspections. Strong communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential for success in this position. Duties & Responsibilities Demonstrated strong initiative and problem solving skills. Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks on conventional projects. Supports the project team with generation of written material including reports, memos and studies. Works on small projects independently or portions of larger projects as part of a team. Prepares construction drawings, details and specifications under the direction of a senior engineer. Project site visits, assist with construction management support and inspection. Assists in determining project schedule and budget requirements. Receives direction on unconventional and/or complex problems. Assists with client, customer, vendor, regulatory communications. Performs field inspections, measurements, and utility markouts periodically. Performs other related duties as assigned by management to support projects and organizational goals.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree (BS) or the ability to obtain one within one year from an accredited four-year engineering/technical college or university, with coursework related to the design of water resources infrastructure. Expected backgrounds include Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering. Entry-level to 3 years of experience in civil or water/wastewater infrastructure engineering. Consideration will also be given to candidates with relevant internships, including experience in generating construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience using AutoCAD for drafting and designing. Experience using REVIT for Building Information Modeling (BIM). Familiar with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), preferred but not required.
