ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Operations and Maintenance team, ensuring the reliability and performance of our wind turbine fleet, with a strong focus on drivetrain systems. This role leads reliability programs, performs Root Cause Analyses, and drives continuous improvement efforts across warranty and post-warranty phases. It requires a technically skilled, safety-conscious professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Integrate safety and compliance into all aspects of wind turbine maintenance and operations.

Manage turbine reliability processes during warranty and post-warranty periods, overseeing trials for new components.

Monitor, track, and report turbine performance, ensuring corrective actions are implemented across sites.

Provide technical direction and training to site personnel, supporting efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.

Lead process improvement initiatives, developing new techniques to optimize equipment performance and reduce costs.

Conduct equipment inspections, create technical specifications, and maintain detailed reports.

Analyze wind turbine alarms, oil & grease samples, and vibration reports to provide actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with strong problem-solving skills and technical proficiency.

Minimum 3 years of experience working with wind turbines, with expertise in drivetrain systems.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, maintaining strong attention to detail.

Effective collaborator and communicator, capable of working independently and within cross-functional teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with digital tools and reporting systems.

Willing to travel to the U.S. and Canada as needed

Base Pay:

$85,000 - $105,000 (based on experience, education, and skillset)

10% Annual Performance Bonus

based on individual performance and company metrics.
