Overview
Desktop Systems Engineer accountable for Office 365 endpoint client design and build. The resource is responsible for the Office Professional Plus client design, build process, packaging methodology, deployment and update mechanisms. The role requires extensive technical capabilities as well as the ability to work with a team of technical professionals in a high paced environment. Responsibilities
Own server packaging for MS Office Create a quarterly server package and a monthly security patch Assist with determining depth of experience required in BladeLogic and related tooling Lead documentation efforts to improve and maintain documentation Understand click-to-run technologies for Office 365 Utilize Office Deployment Toolkit for packaging and deployment Avoid using SCCM as the enterprise deployment tool, despite its heavy use Ideally have strong experience in either BladeLogic or SCCM (strong in one is acceptable for the role) Be aware of Openshift as a potential future state, but do not stress Work with highly configured configuration packages, turning features on and off as needed Maintain strong packaging capabilities and participate in training as needed Desktop troubleshooting skills are valuable Desktop and Server OS knowledge More engineering than support Quick learner and ability to ramp up by July Qualifications

Responsible for engineering the M365 Applications and additional Office product and all components necessary to sustain long term implementation Develop technical documentation for application packaging Focus on both on premise and cloud implementation solutions Partner with internal teams to develop a sustainable patching methodology Develop technical documentation and build strategy for managing ring release processes for Office Professional Plus client Ensure designs adhere to all compliance and security requirements Develop and implement a strategy to accommodate for macros, add-ins, etc. Take a leadership role in shaping service design direction Partner and mentor with other engineers and consultants to share knowledge and experience Work with service and product managers to identify / document service requirements
Benefits and Compensation
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
