Position Summary:
This job is responsible for working on complex technical designs that ensure AAA policy compliance in accordance with architectural governance, standards, and policies. This role facilitates deployment of technical solutions by developing processes to implement and execute changes, always aligning with current and approved architectural roadmaps, technology standards, templates, processes, governance, and change management policies set forth by the firm. AAA is part of the control for wired, wireless, device access, and remote users. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, depending on the project. While primarily focused on implementation and validation engineering, a strong understanding of AAA policies, posture, protocols, and cluster deployment and maintenance concepts is essential. The candidate must forecast delivery and track multi-phase work against change and release calendars, fully understanding and adhering to bank change processes. The role impacts the firms business and reputation, emphasizing value-driven delivery, quality, commitments, timeliness, budget adherence, and effective communication. Managing time efficiently and developing tasks is critical. This position interfaces with internal and external customers, suppliers, architecture, product engineering, design/implementation engineering, change, service, product management, finance, and operations teams, including various levels of senior management. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in teams are required. Adherence to standards, templates, systems, and artifacts is vital for success. Familiarity with working in regulated and large global enterprises is a plus. Key technology areas include: Clearpass, Stealthwatch, ICE, AAA, SPLUNK, load balancing, Excel, MS Project, captive portals, NA3RC, automation, network configuration, certificates, cluster build, upgrade, and configuration. Responsibilities:
Attend project meetings as needed. Create change documents and manage changes. Schedule changes with the assigned engineer. Represent change records (CRQs) on calls and regional pre-CAB meetings. Socialize changes with peer teams regionally for representation. Coordinate testing and follow-up with testers. Ensure peer reviews are attached to CRQs and chase approvals. Participate in weekly internal change calls and review meetings. Review test plans and results, assist in root cause analysis. Collaborate with internal/external teams on design requirements and risk assessment. Use tools to create NCDs for implementation during change windows. Define initiatives/changes with success criteria, ownership, and realistic schedules. Ensure change documents are peer-reviewed and approved. Coordinate knowledge transfer and rehearse changes in the lab. Work during weekends for change implementation; low-risk changes during weekdays. Ensure no risks are associated with changes. Verify changes through user acceptance testing and logs. Build, update, and send change communication templates. Update schedules and run change bridges, handle CRQ communications. Create work orders and requests for device, firewall, and IP updates. Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience supporting network projects/programs. Expertise in enterprise identity authentication technologies: AAA, 802.1X, RSA, token systems. Experience with Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE. Knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) for wired/wireless. Experience with SSL certificate authorities and management. Strong knowledge of security engineering, protocols, cryptography, and load balancing. Experience with Splunk, Excel, and automation tools. Understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TLS, 802.1X. Experience with Change Management and CAB processes. Self-starter, initiative, focused on delivery, risk management, and big-picture understanding. Strong communication and organizational skills. Desired Qualifications:
Experience with testing, root cause analysis, security assessments, and threat analysis. Experience with Remote Access (VPN posture). Experience with Secure Cloud Analytics (Stealthwatch). Skills:
