CMC Manufacturing/Reliability Engineer

The CMC Manufacturing/Reliability Engineer is responsible for leading, implementing, and sustaining the mechanical integrity of site assets to ensure operational safety and reliability. What You Will Be Doing: Directs and supports involvement with Mechanical Integrity (MI) activities across Indianapolis sites and potentially other OSHA PSM Regulated sites. Direct, manage, and support site MI program element to include contributing to design, specification, construction activities, and quality assurance of process equipment. Support/lead MI compliance auditing efforts at process and site level. Support the High Consequence Hazard (HCH) Processes and sites in sustaining and improving MI efforts and activities to include creation of new Preventative Maintenance Safety Critical and non-safety critical PMs, updating changes to Inspections, Tests or PM Frequencies. Ensure PSM requirements for all Critical Safety Devices and equipment such as PSVs are met and updated. Work with SMEs to establish inspection/repair plans, identify relevant damage to mechanisms, select appropriate inspection tasks/NDE methods, and develop inspection/maintenance plans for all equipment. Determine remaining life cycle calculations and next inspection dates based on equipment condition and incorporate that information into the inspection scheduling plan for the site including fixed equipment (piping, pressure vessels, exchangers, heaters, tanks, etc.) Ensure, API, ASME, NFPA, NBIC, and other applicable Standards and RAGAGEPs are incorporated into the MI program, particularly as it relates to Inspection and Repair. Review and approve inspection and testing procedures to ensure compliance with applicable API, ASME, NFPA, NBIC codes, etc. Develop Asset Management Policy, systems and frameworks to manage site capacity and load based on lifecycle requirements, inspection and auditing requirements. This includes consideration of effective drawing and documentation policies, that changes are managed and document libraries are up to date. Develop an industry wide external network to identify best practice, innovations and improvement opportunities for mechanical systems & assets. Champion and disseminate these through the SPS team and Manufacturing Services. Who We're Looking For: At Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience OR Master's degree in Engineering and 3+ years of experience OR Ph.D. Must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for consideration Preferred: BS in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) plus 5 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Thorough working knowledge of applicable codes, standards and RAGAGEPs (ASME Section VIII, API 510, 570, 653) Significant and relevant experience working with HT mechanical systems and asset management programs including knowledge of business specific risks and industry approaches advantageous to a robust program of work. Proven track record of effective decision-making ability and problem-solving skills, preferably within a manufacturing or power generating environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and gain agreement for complex or impacting programs of work. Demonstratable organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Products and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) i.e., Maximo. Demonstrated supervisory, and leadership experience and the ability to work in a team environment.
