As an Armed Security Guard - Residential Patrol in Coral Gables, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a residential community. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared and equipped to handle a variety of security-related scenarios while operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will also interact with residents and guests, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to foster a welcoming atmosphere. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disturbances. Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures. Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and property management to address concerns and provide assistance as needed. Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed patrol posts, including proper handling and storage of assigned equipment. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles. Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations. Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Must be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
