Overview

CrowdStrike is seeking a Software Engineer (C++) for Exposure Management. This role is remote. CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a sensor which is a lightweight agent installed on client machines that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customers network, can correlate malicious behavior across multiple machines, and presents our customers operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments. This is a Software Development Engineer (SDE) role in the engineering team that delivers the sensor (lightweight agent) on Windows/Linux/Mac OS X. SDEs in the team own design and development of features for the products in Exposure Management product group. Features may cross-cut core OS subsystems such as file system, memory, process, and networking. Many features are also built in a way that they will have shared components across Windows, Mac and Linux. The team operates under the Agile development principles and ships frequently. What You'll Do Lead engineering efforts and work with Product Management to define the scope of work Demonstrate ownership and accountability, collaborating with cross-functional teams across distributed product groups Design and develop user-mode software for deployment on Windows systems Own features from design to delivery Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations Troubleshoot customer-reported issues in a timely manner Develop software for products as assigned (e.g., Falcon Discover and more)

What You'll Need

High-quality C++ development for Windows OS; demonstrated via job experience or contributions to community projects Experience shipping major features and releases as part of a team Strong communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team Understanding of networking fundamentals Mac and Linux OS development experience is a plus Experience building cybersecurity-related products is a plus Experience with high-concurrency, multi-threaded, reliable product code
