CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a sensor (a lightweight agent installed on client machines) that observes system activity, detects malicious behavior, and provides on-box prevention and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry, correlates malicious behavior across machines, and presents customers operations teams with a prioritized summary of detected threats. This is a
Software Development Engineer
(SDE) role in the engineering team delivering the sensor on Windows/Linux/Mac OS X. SDEs own design and development of features for the Exposure Management product group. Features may cross-cut core OS subsystems such as file system, memory, process, and networking, and many features are built to share components across Windows, Mac, and Linux. The team operates under Agile development principles and ships frequently. What Youll Do
Lead engineering efforts and work with Product Management to define the scope of work Demonstrate ownership, accountability and collaborate with cross-functional teams across distributed locations Design and develop user-mode software for deployment on Windows systems Own features from design to delivery Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various physical locations Troubleshoot issues with the product as reported by customers Develop software for Products as assigned (Falcon Discover, and more) What Youll Need
Ability to develop high-quality C++ code for Windows OS; demonstrated via work experience or community projects Experience shipping major features and releases as part of a team Strong communication and collaboration in a distributed team Understanding of networking fundamentals Mac and Linux OS development experience is a plus Experience building cybersecurity-related products is a plus Experience with high concurrency, multithreading and high reliability requirements Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike
